Great tires. After 7 years and 100,000 miles they are still not worn to the indicator bars. Winter is coming, so I will need to finally replace them.
This is a wonderful tire for summer only driving, but they wear very quickly and are not good in snow. We use snow tires in the winter and driving these through one snow storm reminded me how horrible all-season tires are in the snow! We rotate our tires in the spring and fall and only put about 5000 miles on between rotations. Despite consistent rotations, we only got 20000-25000 miles on the OEM tires. We are going to try the Premier LTX and see what mileage we get on those.
I don't know if it was just bad luck or a bad lot. My Accord came stock with these tires, and at 20k miles one blew for no reason. I replaced it with the same. Now, 8k miles later, the "new" tire failed and the front left tire has uneven tread wear and sidewall bulge. The rear tires have held up fine, but 3 out of 5 that I have owned failed. 60% fail rate overall and they fail 100% of the time on the front. I guess rolling AND steering is just too much to ask for out of a tire from Michelin. I've swapped to Continental PureContact. Better price, warranty, road hazard AND traction/comfort. Michelin is just riding on brand recognition, which is why I am no longer riding on their tires.
Completely wore out at 31k miles. Not happy for a 60k tire. Thumping and singing. No more Michelin for this guy!!
Terrible wear. 30,000 miles and need to replace, even after proper rotation and inflation. Will not buy Michelin again.
OEM tires on my Pilot. Worn out evenly @ 19,800 miles. What a joke. Last sets of Michelins on 2 other vehicles developed deep splits in the sidewalls at less than 30k miles. Wouldn't pass inspections. Michelin has become an expensive but low grade tire manufacturer in my opinion. Will not buy again.
Good tire but dry rots after 6 months. Bought twice.
I love the tire but I can't comment on snow traction. I live in Florida.
Over 73,000 on full set of 4 tires. Very good durability, value, and performance. Much better than my original stock tires that lasted only 56,000. Heading in soon to purchase these again. You won't be disappointed.
This tire is the best tire for my Kia Amanti. It is awesome. This is the second set of Michelin tires I have purchased for this car.
We love the quiet ride, low friction, handling and high MPG provided by the Primacy MXV4.
This tire on this car is a great match for the massive swing of weather that we see in Chicago - especially this past winter. While this isn't a great tire for ice traction, it is a great match for all other conditions, including snow. I do a lot of highway driving from the south suburbs to the north suburbs everyday and have absolutely no complaints after roughly 20,000 miles.
These tires give me a smooth ride. In the snow/ice I did feel minor slipping but mostly on inclines and declines. Overall, great tires.
GREAT TIRES
Great tires that handle extremely well on rainy afternoons in Florida! I will buy Michelin tires again when I need to repurchase tires! Thank you.
The Michelin Primacy MXV4 are really great tires. I drive corners really hard and these tires couldn't handle any better. I love them and I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I have had these Michelins only two years and 10000 miles and the sides have very bad dry rot already. I was told by many that this is typical of Michelins. The tire shop said that Michelin is the most difficult tire maker to work with when it comes to warranties. Save your money buy any other brand.
Honda copped out by not putting these on the cars. After years of having them, I missed them but they are going back on soon.
Needed new tires badly. Love this brand, worth the purchase.
Great tire.
Michelins are pricey but worth it. These things are literally silent on the highway. Before these tires, I had never heard my engine at 70mph on the highway because it was drowned out by tire roar. The MXV4 is that quiet. Wet traction has been good so far, and snow traction is about as good as it gets for an all season tire. I only have 2,000 miles on them but I'm very happy so far.
THE BEST TIRES. THEY ARE VERY GOOD TIRES ALL AROUND.
Tires are quiet, but are terrible when it comes to wet traction. Tires hydroplane worse than any other tire I've owned. Only got 38,000 miles on them even though I rotated them every 5k miles and kept air in them.
Super nice tires all around, never ripped nor lost traction slipping up. Definitely would recommend to a friend any day! Not sure how they are in the snow, I live in Hawaii ;)
These are the most amazing tires. Very glad I spent a few extra dollars for them. The first thing I noticed after replacing the Goodyear Fortera tires that came stock was how QUIET these tires are. I haven't been through a winter with them yet, but so far they've gone through light mud, dirt, sand and heavy rain flawlessly. This is definitely the Cadillac of all-season tires.
This is my first car. Most of my friends told me to get tires from Michelin. They last longer and to me they are safer. I know for a fact they are a better brand because of other peoples experiences.
These tires were the OEM on this vehicle. During my first winter in MN, we received about 4 inches of snow. The plow created a berm in our alley only a few inches high. I was not able to make it over this tiny bump without having my neighbor pushing me. Great for summer and rain driving but definitely not a tire for winter.
